PCS offers an internship program for those who want to learn from our approach, based in Re-evaluation Counseling. This program includes both people who have been involved with PCS as parents, and others who are committed to improving their skills in working with young people. The program is flexible, allowing interns to spend a week, a month or a year, full- or part-time. Interns participate in all programs and other activities, attend staff meetings, make and review videos of each other’s work, and participate in a learning/support program tailored to their particular needs.
Internship applicants need to be well connected to their local Re-evaluation Counseling community and must process their request with their local leadership. It is occasionally possible for interns to stay with families from PCS, but generally recommended that interns find their own accommodations. All interns are asked to make a financial contribution to PCS based on the length of their stay and their financial means. Those staying with families are expected to make a financial contribution to their host household as well.
PCS has invited visitors from many parts of the US, as well as from Canada, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Sweden, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Israel, Uganda, Zimbabwe, India, Japan, South Korea, China, and Australia.
